Base2Summit Kitchen Staff play a critical role in supporting the health, energy, and overall experience of program participants and staff. This position is responsible for planning, shopping for, preparing, and serving meals in a shared, community living environment. The Kitchen Staff team helps create meals that are nourishing, inclusive, and supportive of a wide range of dietary needs, while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe kitchen. Think Thanksgiving dinner for 18 three times a day:) Our menu is pre-planned. You will be given training recipes to try at home, in hopes of making your week in the kitchen run smooth.
This is a hands-on, fast-paced role that requires strong organization, flexibility, and willingness to spend lots of time on your feet. Kitchen Staff work closely with program leadership and volunteers to ensure food service runs smoothly and supports the emotional and physical demands of the program. A number one—our kitchen staff always cooks with the most important ingredient – LOVE!
Kitchen staff positions are volunteer-based positions at this time. You are given a $100 gas gift card to recoup some of your driving costs.
